Dialysis

The Dialysis Unit at Bluewater Health provides hemo-dialysis treatment for chronic renal failure for patients in Sarnia-Lambton and the surrounding area, and is a satellite of the Renal Program at London Health Sciences Centre in London, Ontario.

Our team of nephrologists and specialists in training (fellows) manage the medical care of dialysis patients along with the nurse practitioner who also assists in arranging access creation and connections with a Peer Support Program through the Kidney Foundation. Other health professionals are involved in scheduling, contact with the Kidney Care Centre and providing information about kidney disease, dialysis treatments and staying healthy. Each patient is assigned a Primary Care Nurse who prepares clinic information and medication records.
